Vancouver’s City Council recently approved a grant of 400,000 CAD for Vancouver-based music projects and for enhancing vibrant cultural spaces across the city.

The recommendations arose from two reports on the city’s music community and industry: the Vancouver Music Strategy Interim Report and Making Space for Arts and Culture: 2018 Cultural Infrastructure Plan.

“These actions will crank up support for our growing arts and culture community, create and preserve important spaces, and focus the city on ensuring that creative people are able to stay and build a future in Vancouver,” said the city’s Mayor Gregor Robertson.
