Press Statement from Creativity Works! on DSM mid-term review

Today the European Commission has published its mid-term review on the Digital Single Market (DSM) Strategy. As representatives of the 11 million individuals in Europe’s creative and cultural sectors, who work and contribute approximately €914 billion to the EU’s GDP, we are deeply troubled how important revenue streams used to create high quality European content are now in jeopardy.

WIPO Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights update

The 34th session of the WIPO Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) was held from 1 to 5 May in Geneva. At the meeting, the newly elected SCCR Chair Daren Tang, Chief Executive of the Singapore IP Office, proposed that a draft text on a broadcasting instrument from the previous chair, Martin Moscoso of Peru, could serve as a basis for further textual discussions.

WIPO & IPA to compile report on world publishing statistics

Geneva, 24 April 2017 - The International Publishers Association (IPA) and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) are to publish an annual report on world publishing statistics.

The report will be compiled through WIPO's network of 189 member states and the IPA's 70 members.

EUIPO survey: Widespread support for intellectual property rights among EU citizens
