Meet the music publishers: Teri Nelson Carpenter from Reel Muzik Werks in El Segundo, California.

How did you get into music publishing?

My first job in the industry after earning my Music Degree was at Broadcast Music Inc (BMI) - one of the major U.S. performing rights societies in Film/TV relations. That is when music publishing became alive to me.

What concerns do you have in your market?

Chris Butler elected new ICMP Chair during Midem

ICMP has elected Chris Butler, MPA UK, as its Chair taking over from Andrew Jenkins, Universal Music Publishing. At the meeting, the ICMP Board also elected its new Executive. Nicolas Galibert (CSDEM France) and Goetz von Einem (BMG) will serve as Vice Chairs, and Ralph Peer (NMPA US) and Rolf Budde (DMV Germany) as Treasurer and Secretary respectively.

Ralph Peer II honoured at 2017 International Midem Awards

Cannes, 7 June 2017 - Ralph Peer II, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of peermusic and International Confederation of Music Publishers (ICMP) Board Member, was tonight honoured for his contribution to the music ecosystem at the 2017 International Midem Awards. 

Hosted by Paul Zilk, CEO of Reed Midem, the ceremony took place during a gala dinner at the Majestic Hotel in Cannes.
